If you are like me there are lots of ideas in your head that you would like to put down on paper. Some of my ideas would make great children's books. But where do you start and how would you get it published? I guess it doesn't take a genious to know these things but you have to start somewhere. It is important to teach your children about where they come from, the values, the history. Which is why more people are writing children's books that reflect their own culture. A creative way to incorporate an interesting story that mixes the elements of Texas such as a prickly pear cactus, a mockingbird, a bluebonnet or a armadillo into a fun search story. Then in less than 50 words she tells about each object.

People come from different backgrounds but it is good to show them at a young age their own heritage, their own settings, various people's background of where they live and to be proud of it.
